Ted BetzHOW GOD CHANGED MY LIFE at age 57! Our daughter had prayed for me for over 15 years and her prayers were finally answered. I thought I became a Christian at the age of 16. Then my dad died and I slowly fell away from my faith. Later in life, Satan convinced me that Christians were just weak people who needed something to hang on to or some kind of crutch. I thought I had life all figured out doing things “my way.” I taught school and also bought apartments and buildings to remodel and rent. I later retired from teaching and my buildings became my “god” as they were the primary focus of my life. I was trying to prove to myself that I was “somebody” and became a full-fledged “workaholic.” My life was full of stress. In April of 2001, our son, who was studying to be a chiropractor, suggested that my wife and I go to a holistic health clinic in Arizona. The clinic turned out to be the catalyst that GOD USED TO CHANGE MY LIFE. I cried out to God and I know he heard me as I felt His presence in a big way. ArchivesCategories |
